Our look back at the past 19 years keeps rolling along, today with a look at some of the animals that appeared on the Pasty Cam this day. We start with a chubby looking gray squirrel that Robert C. Wetton captured through his lens in 2004. RCW was a contributor for many years and I for one miss seeing the Copper Country through his eyes.

Dial the years ahead to 2012 and we get to join in the fun of feeding the Bootjack deer with Sally Beaudette's grandson. He looks pretty happy to be helping with the chores and quite oblivious to the deer in the background, patiently waiting for lunch to be served.

Our video today is a different sort of animal for sure. Keeping with the first photo of the squirrel, we're checking out a Flying Squirrel (bike ride). Only this is on the Copper Harbor Bike Trail system and is the upper half of the trail before a turn. Strap on your helmet and enjoy the ride!

Exciting video! We used to do something similar thru the Palmer Park woods in Detroit, in the days before the random drive-bys.

Looks like a great ride ~ tho the downhill looks like more fun than the ride back up!

Growing up in Highland Park, we use to go to Palmer Park a lot. Out in the middle of the woods was a muddy type pond, if you will, where my brothers caught some snapping turtles and brought them home. They were put in an old metal Coca-Cola cooler til my mom made my brothers take them back to the park. That park was so nice back in the day.....Lots of memories.
