When Bob Gilreath walks down his steps, he's always treated to a burst of color from the flowers growing in his garden and around the stairs. I'm guessing that since he's retired now, he has the time then to stop and smell the flowers, too. Lucky Bob!

So, I'm just going to throw this out there right away, that I'm not very good at identifying flowers. No where near a floriculturist, can't even claim to be a gardener, although I do sometimes help my hubby weed the garden and flower beds, but I've been known to pull the wrong thing, thinking it's a weed and then find out it's not... OOPS!

With all that being said, I have no clue as to the name of these flowers here today, so I would appreciate you viewers giving me a hand and telling us what they are. All I know is they sure are pretty!

The blue one is definitely a morning glory.
Possibly the other ones are also because I know
they come in different colors. I love them. The
cover beautifully. These are gorgeous!

What lovely orange nasturtium! The flowers are edible,
commonly used in salads and baking. Thank you for sharing
these! Love from the east coast

Very nice...these fill my color quota for the day.
Nice review, too!

Yep...top ones are Nasturtiums...they are
phenomenal to eat...taste like pepper and are
excellent on salads....I have used the full leaves
on sandwiches too....EXCELLENT!!

The Morning Glories on the other hand, NOT edible.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!

Great color, but around here, if it were not for my better half taking care of her numerous plants and flowers, sorry to say they wouldn't have a chance, because I'd forget to water them and they'd all be history! Post it notes, do come in handy! lol

I always used to grow nasturtiums when i lived in Muskegon; thanks for the reminder of how pretty they are! They are on the list for next season!

p.s. Happy National Lighthouse Day!
