While UP at her summer place on Point Abbaye, in Baraga County, Marsha Galbraith runs into many different critters. Today's array of photos are some of them she saw on her last visit.

The Trumpeter Swans in the first photo have a discolored neck you can see. Marsha said it's from the tannins in the water, as it "dyes" the white, making it look like the swan has a dirty neck.

The last three photos made me chuckle…that's Marsha's husband Gary with the best seat in the house for watching the bird feeders and the sunset. He was treated to a great view of a hummingbird sitting on the feeder with the evening sky in the background, but then another visitor showed up and was doing a bit of acrobatics to try and make his way to the feeders, too. I wonder if Gary just continued watching the raccoon after Marsha took the photos or if he rousted that masked bandit out of the feeding station.

Nice group of critter pictures today. It must be a popular spot, they arrive by air, by land and by sea.

Hey, I would so enjoy pulling up another recliner
next to Gary and watch the animal kingdom along
with him! I love these pictures!

The Keweenaw has wonderful wildlife.

Nice variety and critter shenanigans!

Watching all the wild critters give us peace, tranquility, and inspiration..whereas "PETS", and and such animals in captivity, remind us of people welfare

Great pics! I especially love the trumpeter swans!

What great pictures. And like Judy, I like the
swans the best. Though, they're all very good.

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Thursday, July 21, 2016 - 04:45 am:

Thanks,Mary! These pics were taken earlier in
July. Then we went home to the Flint area, and
now we're back in Aura again! Those swans were
in Seney. There are lots there! Eagles are
easily seen, too, on our peninsula north of
L'anse. I see at least two a day along Keweenaw
Bay as we drive in to town. We're on the eastern
shore of Keweenaw Bay. Therefore, we look
westward out our living room window and can see
the Keweenaw Peninsula 12 miles away! On clear
days, we can see two lighthouses near the
portage and the Quincy mine!
