Barb Bouwkamp told me she hasn't been getting out much with her camera lately, but that didn't stop her from snapping some photos anyway. There is just something so intriguing to me when Jack Frost decorates the windows and these here today are classic examples of his work. It really is a work of art, with feather-like designs which are always fresh and never duplicated again.

For the bottom photo, Barb did get out, probably to take Parker out for a quick walk, but she took her cell phone with her and snapped a shot looking down Pewabic Street. This picture looks like it could be black and white, but I don't think it is. What it does do though, is show you how color-less it gets UP here in the Keweenaw during the winter months.

New for 2016... The collage of previous years’ daily photos will now be included right here, with each day’s featured picture, consolidating comments about anything on your mind, on this single page. The previous What’sUP forum had seen declining use since we started daily publishing on Facebook as well, where you are still welcome to post comments.

So, from all of us, to all of you... we wish you a very Happy New Year!

More great pictures of God's handiwork!

Thanks!

N-Ice ice...it's like UP on the rocks. Happy New Year! I'm not a Facebook user, so I appreciate the new format...and I can still click any photo and see the "Big Picture".

Mary, the new format, we think it will fly, sounds like it could be more open, diverse, and interesting. As Fred Allen used to say, "A conference is a gathering of important people who singly can do nothing, but together can decide that nothing can be done." Lets see how it shuffles out after about six months.

This is funny: When I click on the baby's picture,
I get a big picture of a pan of pasties fresh from
the oven. Other the others work right.

Nice pictures. No more "What's UP". Nice that we
don't have to go to the other page, but if you
didn't include 2016 in the bottom part, you could
still include 1998. Just a suggestion!!

Happy New Year one and all!

There are none better than Old Jack Frost when it comes to prettying up the place.

Happy New Year, Pasty Cam Friends! Love the work of Jack Frost.

Eugenia: that's called subliminal advertising...see baby picture...see pasties...I'm placing an order for pasties. (Charlie is crafty) :-)
BTW...someone desires a raise for the new format.

Beautiful!

And not only that, but if anyone else has failed to notice, we now have a NEW Video version of 'Day in History' (click →) here.

As I told Charlie in an earlier email:

Quote:

"O frabjous day!

"At long last, no more of that accursed (click →) Adobe Flash, may it burn in "a very hot fiery furnace"! I just discovered this "NEW! Video version Day in History" today (have I been missing something, and for how long?)

"(Thank you, thank you!)˄∞

"We sure appreciate all that you manage to do, in spite of all you have on your (pasty) plate, not to mention the medical issues you and Edie have had to deal with! Sisu in action!"

Huh?

By Charlie at Pasty Central (Chopper) on Sunday, January 3, 2016 - 08:44 am:

The video version is made possible without flash by sending you to the Facebook HTML 5 rendition. For example: January 2. Even iPad users can watch :o) We've had it available for some time, but many are just discovering it.
