Nathan Miller is used to photographing things from up high, but it's usually just his kite and camera that are up in the air. This time he was the one up high, on the trestle, taking pictures of the water flowing over Agate Falls below. Then he found his way down to the lower level of the falls for another shot at eye level. He said it was a bit of a scramble to get down there.

On this snowmobile adventure, he also made his way to Bond Falls for several wintry shots there, including the last one of the upper Bond Falls, which is quite picturesque.

Nathan figures with the sub-zero temperatures we had the past week, that both of these Ontonagon area falls are even more frozen than they were the day he was there snapping away. Before long though, the big thaw will be on and all the U.P. falls will be roaring with all that melted ice!

By Jose (Jtraveler) on Monday, February 23, 2015 - 08:51 am:

I've never seen it, but I imagine the falls stands out better with all that snow surrounding it, making for better photographs. Thanks for sharing!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Monday, February 23, 2015 - 09:39 am:

Maybe so, Jose, but I'd rather see the falls surrounded by greenery.;>
My favorite is the second one but they're all nice shots, Nathan. Thanks!

Great pictures Nathan. I do enjoy viewing waterfalls a lot. I agree with Shirley though, they are exponentially more pleasing in the summer.
