Mr. Grasseschi of Universal Oil Co. makes presentation of Lac La Belle and Bete Gris area.

Keweenaw County ìis withdrawing from active participation in WUPPDR. This withdrawal necessitates the institution and implementation of a comprehensive development plan for the county.î
Mr. Kitchen (Zoning Director/Tax Assessor) and his staff directed discussion of major points in achieving such a plan.

February: Keweenaw County Zoning and Planning Commission Supervisor John Hodges (now deceased) called for people to serve on an Advisory Committee to provide input to the
commission, whose duty is to ìdevelop and maintain a Growth Management Plan (including) the Comprehensive Plan, the Zoning Ordinance, the Legal Authority, Project Grants and Loans, along
with Official Land Use and Zoning Maps.î (The Daily Mining Gazette, Feb. 25, 1992) (He was able to get the rare help of the local paper.) |

October: Keweenaw County carried motion to ìaccept and developî Mt. Bohemia, as offered by Lake Superior Land Co. (but Ö)
November: New owner for LSLC.
December 28: (often referred to as ìthe dead of nightî) in a brief, unadvertised, so-called Public Hearing, County Zoning Board approved same old Land Use Map. |
