Krayons to offer new classes

Artists offer art classes for all ages at the Ramblin' Rose Arts
Center on U.S. 41 in Mohawk, next to the Mohawk Superette.

MOHAWK ’Äì Keweenaw
Krayons will offer three new classes this spring at
the Ramblin' Rose Arts Center, U.S. 41 (Next to the
Superette) in Mohawk.
For the very young,’Äì three, four and five year
olds ’Äì and the adult of their choice, a four-week
series of arts and crafts will be taught by Susan
Hallwachs. The classes will be held from 9:30
a.m. to 11 a.m. every Tuesday morning from May 1
through May 22. The class fee is $30 for all
four sessions (payable in advance) or $10 a session. This
price includes all supplies.
Clyde Mikkola will be teaching a four-week class on
watercolor techniques beginning May 5. These
two-hour classes will take place from 10 a.m. to
noon on four Saturdays ’Äì May 5 and 12 and June 2
and 9. The cost is $100 with a $50
pre-registration fee required. Those bringing
their own supplies will receive a $15 discount.
Suzanne Hoppe will be instructing in the art of
recycled paper making on
Saturdays, May 5 and 12, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This will be an
intergenerational class, open to all ages. Those
younger than six must be
accompanied by an adult. The cost, which
includes supplies, is $15 for one
session.
Class size is limited for all sessions, and pre-registration
fees are required to hold a spot. Family discounts
