The audition for Missoula Children's Theatre production of Robinson Crusoe will be held on Monday, October 12, 2009 at 4 pm in the Calumet Theatre ballroom. There are roles for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play.
This is a group audition - no advance preparation is necessary, but a SMILE J never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!
Among the roles to be cast are Robinson Crusoe, his sole companion, a goat named Wilson, Leonard the Leopard, Friday’s Family, the Oscar Octopus Octet, a family of Goats, the very hairy Frowny-Face Tribe, and the colorful Chameleons.
Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-30 minutes after the audition.
The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Calumet Theatre each day. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role.
The performances will be held on Friday, October 16 at 7 pm and Saturday, October 17 at 1 pm and will be presented at the Calumet Theatre. All those cast must be available for all scheduled performances and rehearsals.
Missoula Children's Theatre is a non-profit organization based in Missoula, Montana. This coming year more than 55,000 cast members across the globe will take to the stage to the delight and applause of their families, friends, community, neighbors and teachers!
