Wishing all in the Copper Country a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

By Charlie at Pasty Central on Saturday, December 21, 2002 - 06:12 pm:

Steve Pummill snowshoed to the top scene at Tahquamenon Falls, and Donn de Yampert provided the second view from the bottom of the stairs which go up the east hill in Hancock.

It snowed today, especially in areas close to the lake.

Charlie,
Thanks for the great pictures. I come to this site every day just to remember the times I've spent in the UP.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I AM ABOUT TO DIE! The beauty in those pictures! PLEASE... SOMEONE RENT ME A HOUSE NOW! I called in my family to see these. I think the U.P. might be God's little corner of the world that he calls home! Oh, that is so beautiful.

P.S. Those pix are beautiful! :)

Thanks, Steve, Donn and Jon for the great winter photos of Tahquamenon Falls! Sure wish I could see them in the winter. Photos like these make you appreciate winter instead of dreading it! Keep up the good work!

We have no snow down here near Ohio this Xmas. These are the next best thing. Simply GORGEOUS shots. Thank you!

The stairs brought back memories of navagating them on my way to Tech in the mornings from East Hancock. It is a lovely park in the spring and summer. Used to sit and watch the bridge, the Ranger on Tuesdays and Fridays, the tall sailboats.
