When I asked my son to cut the grass! I guess he misunderstood me. Must be a generation gap here. Although the smile on his face reflects a job well done!

Looks like you don't have a lot of snow there yet. Does anybody know if Mt. Bohemia is open yet?

By Luanne, Dickeyville,WI on Monday, December 9, 2002 - 03:05 pm:

Don't know about Mt. Bohemia, but I hear that Mt. Ripley is open, they've been putting that new snow making machinery to good use.

By ShawnR, GR MI on Monday, December 9, 2002 - 03:47 pm:

The trail report for the Daily Mining Gazette (online) says that Mt. Bohemia is planning to open Dec. 13th.

By Aimee, MTU on Monday, December 9, 2002 - 06:02 pm:

We have more snow than that in Houghton, but it was really windy over the weekend, so maybe that's just a wind-swept spot. I hope it doesn't melt!

By Ima Yooper on Monday, December 9, 2002 - 07:34 pm:

We've had a couple feet in Marquette but temps in the mid to high 30s should take care of that this week. :o(

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

By Kate in da state of CA on Tuesday, December 10, 2002 - 09:58 am:

I'm doing my old reliable snow dance. Even had a
request from some friends in the Rockies. Rain's
moving onto the west coast....snow should reach
youse guys in da U.P. later dis week if all goes
well. I still remember da snowstorm from '79 so be
careful what you wish for!

By JEN, GR MI on Tuesday, December 10, 2002 - 11:57 am:

I remember too, bring it on!

By Troll-snowboarder's Mom on Tuesday, December 10, 2002 - 01:43 pm:

Bring on da snow dance for us trolls downstate, too! I have a son about Z-boy's age, who complains on a daily basis about the lack of snow for his snowboarding activities!

By Molly Houghton, MI on Tuesday, December 10, 2002 - 04:25 pm:

What is up with this 35 degree weather in the middle of December when we should have 140 inches of snow to play in? I don't approve of this at all!! Someone better help me do the Heikki Luntta snow dance soon, if not sooner. Bring it on. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. How do you expect the ski hills to stay open in this weather? :) :) :) :)

By Sue, UT on Sunday, December 15, 2002 - 11:34 am:

I remember all the snow back in the 70s.... where did it all go
