Say goodbye to the color over on the Ripley hillside. Leaves are falling today like giant snowflakes (which probably aren't far behind). But fortunately the Pasty Cam was able to catch a last glimpse before it's gone.

This interesting architecture was spotted by Pasty Camando Jonathan Hopper, standing on the Houghton side, looking back over the rooftops. Any ideas where this dome is perched?

Could this be on top of the Douglas House? I'm peering through a thick veil of cobwebs in my mind on this one trying to reach Houghton from Colorado, so I'm not betting the farm on my guess.

I seem to remember a Jewish Temple in Ripley. Could that be it?

It's has to be the dog house. We had loads of fun in that old house!!!!!!!!

Jogging my memory, I believe it is on the Douglas House in Houghton.

Temple is in Hancock, wrong side of the lake for the Dog House. Ripley school comes to mind.

This is taken from on or near the Grace Church Parking lot overlooking the roof of the Douglass House. I've been a guest in the church many times for workshops or rehearsals or concerts and have always enjoyed coming outside to see this wonderful view. And the color is especially beautiful. Thanks.

Right you are, Paul! Guesses above (from Gary and Lois) were right, too, but they weren't quite as sure.

Grace appeared on the Pasty Cam way back in April of '98. Does anybody know if the Douglas House has ever appeared? Also, were you guys refering to the Douglas House or is the "Dog House" something else?

Tricked me, I should have known better. We painted the inside of the church in '68 or '69 and probably saw that scene many times. I remember a steeple jack re-roofing that steeple at the same time-what a view he had! I went to Tech from '67 to '72 and at that time the Douglass House had a bar on the first floor called the Gay '90's room. We always called it the Dog House.

The colors are amazing. Been many years since I have seen color season.. Don't remember them being so bright and red or so many colored trees. Unusual year or is this how it always is? Racking my brain but can't recall.
Our fall colors here means the snow birds are arriving with the different color license plates!
