After a stormy night, fog lingered along the Lake Superior shore in the morning hours. Jackie McMullen and my faithful dog Cosmo enter the fairyland world of the Big Iron River Boat Launch. The spiderwebs along the Lake were especially dew-laden.

Come back on Friday and we'll see how those shots develop.

I just love this picture Dan!! I feel as if I am right there. I can feel the wet, rocky road under my feet and I can smell the wet earth. I can hear the drops of rain as I brush against a tree branch. Growing up in the U.P., there were days that I did not like the rain, but then there were days like this where I loved to be out in it. Thanks for the great shot!

p.s. My cats name is Cosmo!

Amazing shot, Dan! Brings back the smells and sounds of the area. Keep up those great pics that make me home sick!

PS: My cats name is Urbanski

What a attitude adjustment! I'm sitting here at my desk in a windowless office on the north side of Chicago...takes me back to walks from childhood in rural Indiana and all the sensory reflections as written in other messages.

thanks.

I have to echo other poster's appreciation for this marvelous photo. The perfect filminess of the mist, the etherealness of the trees, the two roads diverging - a wonderful pic. Thanks so much for sharing it.
