Jack frost is on his way out, judging by how it feels outside tonight. It's actually warm here in the Keweenaw, and they say we may hit 75 by Sunday.

But before the snow and ice totally exit, Dan Urbanski shares one view, and Rose Riemer another, samples from the early U.P. morning.

Does that mean that blackfly season will maybe be over with before I come in June?

By julie, IN on Thursday, April 26, 2001 - 05:36 pm:

There is a large hill that is M-26 from Lake Linden to Calumet that has areas of shade covered in snow till June. Pretty amazing.

If you look close you see ice people trapped until it all melts. I see a man and a women to the right. Love the pictures.

Bee - Sarasota, FL I hope all (who can) will donate something to the North Woods Conservancy for the protective purchase of Seven Mile Point. HELP preserve the beauty of at least a portion of the magnificent Keewanee! Someday, if you never have before, you may want to experience this special area.....and this comes from a non-native U.P. testimony, but someone who hopes to be granted a few more summers of bliss...in the U.P.
