Hard ta believe we're only a week away from March. Will it come in like a lamb or a lion? In 7 days we'll find out.

March 1st marks the beginning of a new year for the Pasty Cam. By the way, if you live in southeast Michigan, on March 1, Charlie mentioned he is schedule to be on WJR's Internet Advisor program with Gary Baker and Foster Braun. 760 on the AM dial. After Pasty Central's last appearance on the Internet Advisor, Charlie was invited to tell the story at the 2000 Technology Summit. His talk is archived here in real audio.

Thanks to all the good folks who sent us pictures this week. Sorry we couldn't post 'em all, but I got another week till Charlie gets back.

The detail on these statues never ceases to amaze me. Awesome work, techies! Thanks to all who shared the pictures of them. My pictures of all things snow have left a bit to be desired, so it's great to have such good ones here and on the Carnival site to see and share.

As I sit here typing, we in southeast michigan are getting our first real storm in a few years...kinda yooperesque. Snow, wind, etc. Predicting about 8 to 10 inches....it isn't so much the snow, but the blowing and drifting. Nothing like I experienced while living in the UP (moved in 94 too steve, and yes...I DO know you), but still fun to see the snow...Just came in from outside with my Siberian Husky, and he didn't even like it.
Looks like i'm going to have to break out the ol' scoop tomorrow.....

My son Noel and I journeyed to Houghton today to watch the MTU men's b-ball team smoke the Ferris Bulldogs. Very impressive the way these guys play together. Go Tech in the afterseason!!. Had some delicious Ambassador pizza after the game and then skated on slick roads half the way home (till we got south of Covington a ways anyway). Sure seems strange to see much less snow than normal in the Coppper Country.

Those Techies make the professional chefs in Plymouth look like pre-schoolers!

Down here in the Detroit area we got a big snowstorm 6-10 inches wow that was great to see all the new snow the next morning Sunday. But as usual the plows were out keeping the streets and roads passable.
