Here at Lake Linden-Hubbell Schools, the Jr. High boy's basketball is in full swing. It has been so much fun to watch these young men develop as basketball players on the court this season. Learning how to dribble, how to shoot and how to block their opponents from scoring, improving with each and every game.

Many people may think that it's "just" Jr. High Basketball and of course they don't draw the same crowd of spectators as the Varsity team does, but these younger players put in many hours honing their skills on the court. My Grandson is on the team, so we know the hard work that goes into developing them as basketball players. It doesn't matter that these boys are only 7th graders, they're there every night after school practicing for an hour or more, so they learn all the necessary moves to play the game.

The last photo is our dedicated 7th grade cheerleaders. It is so nice to see the school spirit and dedication from those girls, too, as they put in just as many hours learning the cheers and movements that go along with them. Kudos to our young men and women for being active and staying involved in school activities.

The mighty, mighty Whiz Kids!!! I loved it when they
were called the Whiz Kids!! Lots of fun :-)

They've been The Lakes since the 70s.just like Dollar Bay went from being The Bluebolts to being The Bays around the same time.

You gotta play when you're young to have the skills when you get to high school. What number is your grandson, Mary? #24?

Mary says: Yes, jbuck...he is! Same number his Daddy had in High School! ;-)

How cool is that? Nice tradition!

Thought that #24 looked familiar! ;-}
