Friday-What'sUP June 20 - 09:47 pm

On a recent Keweenaw morning, Jeremy Rowe set up camp with his camera on top of Bumbletown Hill to catch the changing sky as the sun was coming up. His first shot was taken around 4:00 a.m., looking toward the foggy lower elevations of Ahmeek, Mohawk and Copper City. Jeremy described the scene as looking like the towns were on fire and said it was one of his more unique shots from Bumbletown Hill. Bonus in the photo is the small lilac bush on the rock right there in front of his camera.

The second photo was snapped a half hour later than the first, as the sun was beginning to brighten the sky and the fog was starting to dissipate with the arrival of morning. There are a number of higher elevation locations to get up on and really see the Keweenaw in all its glory, but Bumbletown Hill is definitely one of the best spots

Also appears like a bit of the Aurora Borealis in the first photo as well.
