With the winter temperatures cold and freezing, that's exactly what you'll find on the shores of Lake Superior this time of year…lots of cold and freezing. Brenda Leigh found just that recently when she decided to explore the shores near her home in Brimley and this is what she had to say about her adventure that day:

It was a cold, beautiful day. The shoreline was ice covered and the water was splashing, forming blow holes while I watched. There were some ice bowls loaded with water along the shoreline, too....they were really cool. I wanted to go down and get closer to them but was afraid of not knowing how slippery it was down there. Funny what great things one finds in nature.... Ice Bowl Bath Tub.

We have a new snow cover this morning with a 16-degree temp....but the sun is shining!:)

Thank you so much for my 'fix' of UP and Superior. Brenda forgive me for being a doting old lady but please be careful on your expeditions! For someone who's had her share of falls...please be careful walking in that beauty. I'd hate to have something happen to you. At least have a cell phone available.
