Good morning! It's still dark out here. But I think it's going to be nice here, as well.

Happy Hump Day!!

Nice pix! 2008 reminds me of the road going back to the cabin, my connection to the UP.
The Perrys' owned it at the time.

We're in the Outer Banks of North Carolina meeting up with family
and friends. The weather is definitely not nice here, but we are
enjoying the wind and waves from a distance. Sunday and Monday
were splendid. Kosk Not in Toronto

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - 11:45 am:

Kosk, Jump thru those waves! Have fun and live it U.P. !!!

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - 11:51 am:

Very nice review again today!

By Dunerat (Dunerat) on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - 01:40 pm:

Kosk, did you know there's a place on the Outer Banks called Canadian Hole? It's on the Sound side, between Avon and Buxton. It got its name because lots of Canadian windsurfers started to sail there in the 1980's. It's a great place to watch some phenomenal windsurfers and kiteboarders.

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - 01:58 pm:

Yes, Dunerat. We have been there and enjoyed watching them at
the Canadian Hole. Nobody's doing anything like that today--the
wind and waves are something to feel and behold.

Uncle Chuck--I used to enjoy boogie boarding a lot. Having had a
hip replacement has made me curtail some activities. Boogie
boarding and body surfing fall into that category. I get a kick out of
watching my daughter and her family doing it though.

Houghton is booming. We now have a "Tractor Supply Store" and a new hospital coming soon.

The ride to Houghton was beautiful but all along M26 it looked like the leaves had peaked. Poor trees, must have been the late spring. They need the rest.

Indian Summer for sure UP here in Ontonagon. Temps in the high 70s and the south wind feels good.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - 05:14 pm:

Love Tractor Supply Stores and Theisen's, they Rock!!!!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - 06:08 pm:

Tractor Supply is one of my son-in-law's favorite stores!
Lotta 'neat stuff'!

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - 09:35 pm:

Waveaction, thanks for the reminder, I owe you one!
