John Sturos and his family were recently out exploring the Central area and snapped some photos of their adventures to share with us. These were taken about a week ago, so the colors were still there in the trees, but already then you could see the fading of the bright colors, to more subtle ones.

Those smiles on the kids faces, tells the rest of the story of this day, indicating how much fun they were having climbing mine rock piles to get the views and hiking along trails, complete with walking stick in hand.

NOTE: With the recent winds, rain and even snow (which for the most part has melted), the leaves are pretty much down, but here at Pasty Central, we're going to hang on to the beauty of fall for just a little longer while featuring more of the fall foliage photos that have come in. Enjoy the tour!

What a great day for exploring with the kids, John! Making memories for them.
Love the little chap's cap in the last photo ~ no sun's gonna get in his eyes!;)

Gorgeous pics...we'll take 'em while they last. Thanks for the outing.

The Golden looks like he/she is having a fun day as well.

One of my favorite places. That is a magnificent poor rock pile. Many are gone now. A monument to the laborers efforts. Save the poor rock piles.

Looks like they are on the Central No. 3/4 pile up the hill. It's good that they are in bright colours as well; I made the mistake of picking around Resolute wearing my brown Carharts during deer season once. Nothing happened, but I had one of those classic "duuuhhh" moments after I got back to the truck.

Its great to teach children at a young age to explore and have outdoor fun! Great pics!

Has this many Autumn pics over a period of days been posted on Pasty before? More great Autumn pics.

That's so true, Judy! It's always great to see kids outside rather than with a joystick in their hands!

Thanks for sharing the adventure!

Allen: I agree; a lot of people don't know what poor rock is.
