Yes, indeed, the Houghton-Hancock area was sure hopping this past weekend, with FinnFest in full swing and the Bridgefest, too. The two events combined for a parade on Friday evening, from which we have quite a lineup of photos to share with you here today, courtesy of Upper Peninsula Marketing Department. They snapped photos from the rooftop of the building their offices are located in on Sheldon Ave. and then proceeded down to the street to for the rest of the shots.

With this parade of photos capturing the smiles and fun of the event, it's the next best thing to being there!

What a great time we had at Finnfest despite the frequent cloud
bursts. I learned so much and saw so many relatives. I still can't
believe how many class acts the organizers managed to bring to
this event. The Keweenaw, and in fact the whole U.P., did
themselves proud!
