Here in the Keweenaw a few days back, we were wondering if it was ever going to stop raining...of course it did, but in the meantime, we had a few hardy photographers that didn't mind getting a little wet to snap us some rain soaked photos to enjoy.

First set comes from Joe and Linda Schneller, who lured in a Baltimore Oriole, by putting out some fruit for it to snack on. It really is one of the most colorful birds that visits here UP North. Not only is the color a welcome sight this time of year, but the song of these birds and the others returning for the summer, is music to the ears.

The next set of raindrop covered photos are from Judy Byykkonen, who said during the days of rain, that she couldn't stand it any longer and just had to get out of the house and take some pictures, rain soaked or not. I love the way the flowers look with the raindrops sprinkled all over them. You can just imagine them soaking up all that wetness and sprouting up right before your eyes.

Another thing that enjoyed the recent rains, is the grass...oh my goodness, it turned so green almost overnight with the rainfall feeding it's roots. It's official now... spring has finally sprung!

There's that beautiful bird again....thanks Joe and Linda. And Judy, I love your rain-soaked flowers, hope you didn't get too wet.

Love all of the pictures. Lots of orioles around here lately. They love the juice we put out for them. I need to get a better zoom lens for my camera so we can get some better pictures of them. Those are great!

Nice shots of rain soaked flowers too, Judy. Everything appears to be rain soaked lately.

Up until last week end we had a family of Orioles at our feeder in
Illinois. They have not been around all week. I wonder if they were
on their way up to God's country in "da" UP.

Nice to see that spring has sprung in Da UP. Ours has been dead and gone for almost 2 months now. 80 and close to 90 today. Too hot too soon. Considering it was in the low 40's 3 days ago. Give me Da UP weather anytime even with the late spring.

OUR Beautiful State Bird - "THE BALTIMORE ORIOLE" - Maryland USA - Great photo's and lovely flower pics' as well.

There are a few Baltimore Orioles in our area but more in other parts of our State. My Brother observed a Baltimoe Oriole building a nest which "hangs" from a branch... very unique way of nesting I say :)

Nature has many exciting and beautiful species' for we Humans to enjoy.

God Bless You All =+=
