Even when the temperatures are freezing and the wind is whipping, Mike Schneider and his camera aren't detered from getting out in the weather to snap some shots. These two photos were taken a day apart and just a few miles away from each other, just about a week ago in the Marquette Harbor area.

Mike said the day he took the Marquette Lighthouse photo was snowy and quite cold, but trudging through a couple feet of snow to get down on the ice covered beach so they could watch the waves roll in, was worth it. I agree... of course I'm sitting here looking at the scene from the warmth of my home, so that makes a difference.

For his second picture, Mike said he left the house a little early and took a quick trip to Presque Isle Park before heading to work that day. With the wind kicking up a little, he wanted to see how the waves were looking. His comment that he could have spent all day there, watching and listening, pretty much says it all... yes, it definitely was worth braving the wintry weather.
