This was the first year that blackberries were ripe when we were up there. We got enough for one batch of jelly! We were thrilled with that!

Absolutely love Mike and Daryl's pictures!

Rub us fruticosus? Good gracious, I hope it's not contagious :-(

Michael, LOL!! I've always been fascinated by the fact that blackberries are red when they're green. Figure that one out. :}

Good Morning. I just noticed on Michigan Tech's Fund Cam that there are maple trees that are seriously thinking about turning red. It's been a weird spring and summer this year, but I'm not ready for winter's being just around the corner. I like fall, but I'm not fond of cold weather. I, for one, could tolerate cold a lot better when I was younger.

Oh dear, the Paul R Tregurtha is aground in the St. Mary's River near the Neebish Island rock cut. The following quote from www.boatnerd.com: "The initial grounding occurred in way of the vessel’s bow but the ship pivoted and the stern became grounded as well. Currently, the vessel is hard aground at its bow and stern and the ship spans the width of the shipping channel."

I'd like to see a picture of this....

Robert, there are photos on 'Boatnerd' of the grounding.
