If it's genuine rocks, it's 2011.

Good Morning everyone. Happy April Fools Day. 41 degrees and cloudy here in Houghton.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Sunday, April 1, 2012 - 09:01 am:

My, my, Charlie, you're full of 'April-foolery' this morning.;)

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Sunday, April 1, 2012 - 09:27 am:

Good Morning. There are some great April Fools' jokes in many of today's photos. I really love Neil Harri's angle on the Eagle Harbor lighthouse, and that's no joke.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Sunday, April 1, 2012 - 09:39 am:

I'm with you, Marianne! My favorite for sure!

Regarding my post on Friday criticizing the HIPPY generation's anger and distain of Vietnam War Vet's. I wrote HIPPY not 60's generation. The differance should be quite clear. Evidently some don't think so and must clarify that they weren't a drug crazed HIPPY. If that is the case then blame the Hippy's for that tag, not me......FJL

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Sunday, April 1, 2012 - 04:45 pm:

FJL, first of all, you spelled it wrong; it's "Hippie", second of all, I was a hippie and I believed in making love not war. To this day, I do not believe in war. I am also sorry that I said that I did not like government employees. I admire the government employees that went to war for our country. I do not like the employees who get paid big bucks and do nothing.

Nice day, today.

Yes it was! I did not do a darn thing, spectacular!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Sunday, April 1, 2012 - 08:31 pm:

Janie, I love your current 'photo' on your profile. LOL!! You're a funny gal!;-)

By kay Moore (Mskatie) on Sunday, April 1, 2012 - 08:36 pm:

Janie. Thought of you this afternoon when I went to Savanna. Had pizza at the new Manny's then picked up a couple items at Sullivan's. Town was filled with bikers even if it wasn't a warm day. But the spirit was in the air. I've been noticing how the flowering quince and most of the daffodils are fading fast. But the lilacs are just opening which is probably a month early. Love lots of flowers they make me heady but none like the grand lilacs and lilies-of-the -valley!!!

By jbuck (Jbuck) on Sunday, April 1, 2012 - 08:58 pm:

FJL,

I certainly know where you're coming from. My Uncle Ron was one of the Nam vets who was spat upon when he came back state side on the West Coast. Nothing can be more despicable than disrespecting a soldier that way when he comes back from war. Like many, Uncle Ron was drafted into the service but served proudly and bravely. We honor and respect him, as we do the other Nam vets.

By Michael Du Long (Mikie) on Sunday, April 1, 2012 - 11:54 pm:

j. Buck, I was treated the same way by some people including my mother in law who asked me how I enjoyed my two year vacation that she paid for. I also was spat on. It was a different time. I have no use for the hippie generation who are so anti everything.

Kay, how I wish I could ride the Harley for even 10 miles with comfort! Crappy back and weakened legs, not a possibility anymore. :(
