Is it just the insomniacs up this time of morning? Happy day after Christmas.

By Susan Caryl (Gilbsulmum) on Monday, December 26, 2005 - 04:18 am:

Just us forced insomniacs...work mids and have been up since...let's see...Saturday noon. Just 3 hours to go and it's home to a nice hot bath and bed! :) Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Stay safe for the rest of the holidays.

Gibsulmum, Is this Susan from Florida? Where ya been girlfriend..it's great to see you again :)

Upmama, Heck, I thought being up nights was the mommy schedule ;) I still can't sleep through the night, due to all those midnight shifts I worked. Besides, since I work from home, I get most of my work done, late at night. :)

Spent last night on the phone, talking to family and friends in Michigan...as if I am not homesick enough for Michigan and da UP. Spent the rest of the evening suffering from a bad case of homesickness. Sigh.

Sur5er...yep, it's me. Just been driving myself (and many others...lucky them!) crazy for the holidays. Guess I tend to go a bit overboard. Sigh....it's over now until next year...except for shopping! Now if I just hadn't spent all that money......:)

Gibsulmum, It must be the Michiganner in us...cuz we know that there's something special about the holidays in Michigan ;)
I'm still in denial that I am living in Indiana and not Michigan. Been busy driving the Indiana legislators crazy with my famous quote, "that's not the way it's done in Michigan"...because we all know, that the only way (and correct way) to do anything, is the Michigan way, eh ;)
Anywho, convinced the Indiana legislators that the correct way was the Michigan way...that and the fact that I may have said something about having the federal agency on speed dial...and now they are trying to do it the Michigan way.
Stupid Indiana quote of the month: "The laws don't apply to this case"...out of the mouth of a judge, that wants a truck driver to drive 36 hours straight. I looked at the attorney I worked for, and remarked, "can I go home to Michigan now?"

Go get 'em Sur5er! With as many Michiganders we have down here, it is a cry heard often in Austin.

By Charlotte, Mishawaka, IN (Charlotte61) on Monday, December 26, 2005 - 07:12 pm:

I was up with those insomniacs but got to spend my time taking my husband to ER. Seems he had/has a kidney stone that is trying make it's way to freedom. After a couple of hours and lots of tests we came home. Since any pain medicine knocks him out he went right to sleep. After some after-Christmas shopping I came home to find him still sleeping.(Had told him before he went to sleep that I was going to go shopping for a while---he could have gotten me on the cell.) He feels some what better but we are still waiting for the stone to pass. It will be early to bed for me tonight.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas.

Charlotte, Hope your hubby is feeling better and passes that kidney stone, soon. Hubby had one of those a few years ago...and I had to take him to the ER, too. At first, he refused any type of pain medication...because he had to go to work that night...yeah right buddy...you ain't going anywhere for awhile.
After his pain hit a level ten, he realized that going a la natural with passing a kidney stone, was not the route to go.
Incidently, he now has a new appreciation for what women go through, in giving birth.

Margaret, Hubby says that at this rate, Indiana will end up giving me a one way ticket out of Indiana. I could live with that...just as long as they aim for da UP, eh :)
