Good Morning! They're predicting the possibility of some snow down here sometime today or tomorrow. Supposedly it won't stick ... but it's TOO EARLY TO SNOW!!!

By Brock Waugh (Brock) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 05:03 am:

How far down is down here? Because they are calling for some snow in the Muskegon area on wed. or so.

By Kelly Marshall (Kelly) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 05:08 am:

6 to 12 inches by Wednesday afternoon...tapering off to Lake Effect snow; another 4 to 6 inches. We'll be seeing a lot of this salt. Wind gusts to 40 mph. Looks like winter is arriving in a one grand slam! My kids are already doing the dance of joy; chanting Snow day ! Snow day ! ( Groan )

By Cindy M. Archibald (Cindymay) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 05:58 am:

Sorry Brock ... should have told you before. Down here is "metro" Detroit area ... specifically northern Oakland county.

By Smfwixom (Trollperson) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 06:00 am:

By Hoofy (Hoofy) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 06:12 am:

Good Morning.. This is the opening day of deer season (Yooper Holiday). Where's the deer picture??????

By NKR (Nkr) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 06:51 am:

Good morning from Mishawaka IN. Its 41° here this morning. It rained sometime last night and we might have severe thunderstorms later today. Also a 50% chance of snow tomorrow. Kelly, where do you live?

By Margaret, Amarillo TX (Margaret) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 07:07 am:

No snow, probably no rain, but the wind is really up to its old habits. Mornin' to everyone trying to get to work. You other sleepy heads just pull the covers up over your head and forget about what's outside.

By Former Fulton Resident (Dashamo) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 07:18 am:

Good luck hunters. Have a good and safe hunt. Hey Uncle Chuck!!! Ain't heard from ya. Yooz guys get stuck in da swamp wit dat 4 wheeler?!!!!!!

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 07:40 am:

Morning everyone :) No snow for today....but we may get up to an inch of snow, come tomorrow. Yeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaw!

Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow! Hey, isn't that like the anthem of da UP?

Kelly, and the number one reason that Michigan mommies need four wheel drive trucks with plows attached to them: to get those precious little darlings to school :)

By joanne sherick (Shedoesnails) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 08:30 am:

good luck hunters.also want to say happy birthday to my dad bill balowaara who would have been 64 today. deer season is just not the same without him.

By Lorelei (Lorelei) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 08:44 am:

Oh my Gosh! That poor deer looks like he is much too old to be lugging all that around on his head. That has to be digitally enhanced. Is it? I have never seen anything quite so "unbelievable".

By Kelly Marshall (Kelly) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 08:52 am:

Sur6er: I sure would drive the kiddies to school in a 4WD but they close the darn school on me ! I betcha anything there will be no school tomorrow. Even the CC will close down for the day with if there is 0 visibility. Heck, deep snow barely slows us down at all.

By Kelly Marshall (Kelly) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 08:54 am:

Opps...I added an extra digit to your name there Sur5er...sorry

By Former Fulton Resident (Dashamo) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 10:03 am:

What's dat ting sticking out of dat buck's ear?

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 10:07 am:

We need to see my favorite picture: the one of the guy on the bike with the dead deer wrapped around his neck!

By derek tuoriniemi (Derek) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 11:18 am:

did ya see da turty pointer??

By Theresa, Colorado. (Theresa) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 12:19 pm:

All the talk about snow made me aware that we live a place in Colorado that very seldom gets much snow... The Denver area is really snowed in today... Some of the Interstate was closed last night... Don't know about today. It is cool and sunny here...

By dlp (Babyseal) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 12:53 pm:

Marsha, here is the picture you were referring to!
Blast from the past: Nov 20,2002

Still say the guy has "sisu"!

By Beverly, San Jose (Beverly) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 05:54 pm:

Hi Uncle Chuck, how come your not eating venison for your meals...didn't you save enough in your freezer from your last hunt to add excitement to this special time of year of male bonding. I'm sure all your wives are enjoying PrimeRib at their favorite restaurants every day that you are gone. I hope you brought enough medical supplies for Ben and a wetsuit and flippers for Marty, don't worry about Gramps, he likes it hot and if you give him any fuss he'll kick you all out. As for Mike...give him a compass or lock him in Marty's truck, but be sure you turn off the horn and take away the keys. What did you bring for Doug the chef to keep him happy...because if the cook isn't happy, nobodies happy. Now who was supposed to bring the toilet paper and ammunition for those cannons you need and forgot? Must take you a long time to set up to blow those deer out of the bush. Thanks for the update. I enjoy the misadventures of the "Betsy Gang". :)

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 06:54 pm:

Beverly,
ROFL...you are such a hoot. ;)

By Margaret, Amarillo TX (Margaret) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 08:48 pm:

Yo, it's 29 here and the wind is still blowing, but not as hard.

By Ken ja Mimi from da UP (Kenjamimi) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 10:38 pm:

Got about 2" on the ground here in Cornell. Temp. has gone up to 40° now and it's raining. Windy, too. Had a friend who said he always got his buck the day BEFORE season started. He said it was too dangerous opening day, "There are men out there from downstate, and they have GUNS!" :o) ;>)

By Bob Jewell, Farmington Hills (Rjewell) on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 11:02 pm:
