We pause today, from the hustle and bustle of everyday living, to honor the memory of those recently departed...

I remember Sharon Trybon who died of no known cause on Haloween this year, which was her 40th birthday. She was a lovely, talented woman with a fantastic sense of humor and a great skill for working with students in the emotionally impaired program.

In memory of Leonard Wagner, friends knew him as Leo or Lenny, taken by cancer at the age of 48. Edie and I attended the funeral in Clarkston during our Thanksgiving visit. He was from a family with whom we grew up in the 60's, who had ties to Gitche Gummee Bible Camp here in Eagle River. Lenny will always be fondly remembered by his many friends.

In memory of Gert Hunter of Cedar Springs MI. Passed on Nov. 24th 2005 a loving member of a great family.

In memory of Betty Carr, Argos, Indiana. Mom passed away Thursday, November 24, 2005. We have fond memories of time spent at the family cabin on Straits Lake in Schoolcraft County. Mom instilled a love of the Upper Peninsula in many of us, and her spirit is part of our camp in Chassell Township of Houghton County.

My father William Allen Close (who loved the UP of Michigan more than any place on earth...), my beloved Grandma Merle Close Stephens who died 33 days prior to my father, Dad's sister Elizabeth Tharp who died 15 days ago, and our family kitty PussCat who died on November 20th...it's been the saddest year of my life...but knowing they're all together, out of pain, taking care of each other brings smiles through tears...Michelle

My brother,Edward Zobel,died October 27th of this year. I was stranded by Hurricane Wilma and really didn't get the chance to say "goodbye". I really miss him and still can't believe I won't be able to visit with him when next I visit Michigan.

Today I attended the funeral for "Herman The German" Hartel. Tonight I can imagine his delight as he is reunited with his wife Mary and daughter MaryAnn and daughter-in-law Carole Hartel. It has been a sad month for the Hartel family, but their light still shines. God Bless them.

Missing my husband,Hal who left us 7 mo ago yesterday and my Dad John Spellich who passed away on Nov 8,1986. Our friend Marvin Joyal joined them this month. Marvin was a wonderful person who cared for others most of his life.

Remembering my grandfather, Joseph Butala who passed away Nov. 5th, 1972.

In memory of my Grandmother Hildur Blomquist who passed away in November 1962. I have such fond memories of her. She was widowed at an early age and worked as a baker, raising 3 young children during the depression. She was also a church organist and choir director - so that makes me a 3rd generation church musician. Thanks Gramma for giving me inspiration.

In memory of my aunt, Dorothy Rogers, who died in Norwalk, Ohio on November 28, 2005. When she turned 80 in June all she wanted was to see her beloved Indians play. So her 4 children and my brother and I went to see the Indians play. She had a great time. She will be missed but she's home with Uncle Dick.

Walter.........I hope your "job" ends soon....Too many good people.........and for each one lost or wounded.......many many lives changed forever....
