By Randall Ollila (Rwolli) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 07:53 am:

Morning All.

Just back from a spectacular week in the Keweenaw. Visiting family and friends and enjoying our time there. Gets harder and harder to come back across the bridge each time we visit. Enjoy the day everyone.

PS to yesterdays ?? on color, I estimate about 20% in the Keweenaw. Got a couple of good photos I will post in the near future.

Sur5er : I had a good laugh today when I was looking at the personal profiles and saw that you list your occupation as " Home Goddess; Princess " Now that is a great career ! :-)

Margaret, It's a grand pronouncement you made! Welcome to the survivor's club and may you become a very long time member!

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 10:16 am:

Margaret,
Wow, that is great news! If you could see me right now, you would see me jumping up and down and cheering at the top of my lungs. "YES!!!!"
Now Margaret, didn't I tell you that the cancer picked the wrong person...and it didn't stand a chance? ;)

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 10:21 am:

Kelly,
Tee hee :-)

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 11:28 am:

Margaret,
I got hold of my hubby on the cell phone and asked him to hit his air horn a couple of times to celebrate your great news about beating cancer. So to anyone who was sitting in traffic in the Fort Wayne Indiana area, at about 11:30am (eastern time) and heard a bright red semi tooting its air horn, it was my hubby, in celebration to life and survival for Margaret.

By Lorelei (Lorelei) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 11:41 am:

Margaret,
I am happy to hear that you have beaten your cancer. I do not know you but am very happy for you just the same. Just finding out your news has put a smile on my face.

By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 12:01 pm:

sur5er: got a strange email with your name called 3/5th debit problem, or something like that. From you?

I am also getting bulk mail, which I never open, from myself. So apparently I went somewhere that snatched my email address. If anyone gets something from maija--don't open! If I am really emailing anyone, I will use another address.

By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 12:01 pm:

Wonderful Margaret!

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 12:07 pm:

Maija,
Yep..it was from me. Just a safety warning about paying bills online using debit card information and 'paperless' checks. Seems this information is stored by companies, and they can go back into this information...and without your authorization, charge your bank account through the debit card...or as an HTH, where they just need your bank routing number and bank account number and no check. I just lost $500 via this method...and it is not illegal. Sigh. Just wanted to warn others.

By cheryl rozman (Cherylmi) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 12:51 pm:

Great news Margaret!! This news will give hope to so many other cancer patients. It's time for you & your family to celebrate.

By Cindy Lee Maki (Cindylee) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 01:36 pm:

Great News Margaret!!! I'm so so happy for you. Just read your post and even my own pain feels better. You must be so relieved, I know I am. I'm still going to pray for you. I just picked a flower from my garden and brought it in the house for you. I call it MARGARET... it's a pretty pink gladiola. God does answere prayers, your proof. Your friend CindyLee.

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 01:45 pm:

Cindylee,
WOW! Ok, now you have me crying too.

By Theresa, Colorado. (Theresa) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 02:30 pm:

Margaret Great news Thanks for sharing with all of us. My brother is now cancer free also.. Now if only they could find a cure for M.S. I feel okay most of the time but have bad days also... The good Lord will take care of us all, I know...

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 02:31 pm:

By Beverly, San Jose (Beverly) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 04:48 pm:

Margaret, welcome to the survivor's club. It can be a frightening, life changing experience. Good luck.

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 06:21 pm:

Margaret,

I'll think of you on Sunday when I run/walk the
Terry Fox event for cancer research. What
spectacular news! The event is 10km and I
like to spend my time praying for those who
have or have had cancer and those who have
recovered. This is my 15th year doing this.

The year of 9/11 I cried most of the way and
sang all of the American songs I knew in my
head, and when I got back to church (at the
end of the race), discovered that our pastor
(another Yank) had asked the congregation to
sing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." And
then I cried somemore...

By Downstatedon (Downstatedon) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 09:17 pm:

Great news Margaret...hope you are out celebrating
your new lease on life!!

By Cindy Lee Maki (Cindylee) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 10:54 pm:

Marsha, I had neck surgery. They-the doctor-, took 5 inches from my hip bone and fuzed it in my neck c4,5and6 and 7. The doctor went in through my neck, in the front. 10 stiches on my throat and 10 stiches on my right hip. Arthritis is growing down my whole spine and also bone spurs. It's very painful, but I'm feeling stronger everyday. Doctor said if I would have waited for the surgery, chances of me being paralized were very likely. My surgery was 11 days ago, but it feels like months have gone by.

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 11:02 pm:

Wow, just eleven days ago! I'll be praying for your continued recovery and freedom from pain. What you've went through makes the arthritis in my knees seem like nothing!

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 - 11:53 pm:

Kosk,
Wow, that is great that you will be walking in honor of Margaret on Sunday.

Cindylee: Ouchie wow wow! I'm with Marsha, my aches and pains are nothing in comparison to what you have endured.

By Mary-Ella Broere (Sandstoneprince) on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 - 09:14 am:

A sister once said "after 50 it's patch, patch, patch!" Outside of cancer, I think this is true. I do believe my back goes out way more than I do! Margaret I wish you all the best in beating this.
Hey, hey to my Jake friends. How is the cottage coming, E & P ?
