Looks to me like Dan Belo has found himself the perfect place to wet a line, maybe wade in the water, soak feet, and rejuvenate body and mind. There are probably many little watering holes such as this one, making them too numerous to count and nearly impossible to find without instructions from someone who knows. Dan just gives us a hint that this one is in the Gratiot area, which is on the way up to Copper Harbor, where the Copper Man Triathlon got underway just moments ago. Swimming, biking and running for the next couple of hours. Hope we have some eye witnesses to tell us who wins.

I'll bet that water is very cold. After all the heat we've had this summer, it would feel very good............We are still in the heat wave, but it's a beautiful day.

Oooooh, how relaxing this swimming hole looks. I can picture myself and my doggies jumping in, to cool off.

I used to swim here on hot summer days after walking the mile from New Allouez. One Autumn Saturday morning, while we were fishing, Bill Sopsich fell in about 50 feet down stream; real cool dip. He said,"This funny looking coat you loaned me sure feels warm now".--no luck on the fishing.
