Good morning from Mishawaka IN. It's cold and overcast here this morning. We have been waiting for a good rain (we are in a slight drought), but we have just been getting sprinkles. I think a nice thunderstorm would be good for today. I like the blast from the past picture today. The water is a very unusual color. Is that because of the copper?

I think the clay/dirt causes the water to be that color. It's about 54 degrees in Evanston, IL this morning. Wish I could be up there for PastyFest 2005!

Has anyone heard anything about George Hite. His website has not been updated since April 24. Is he out on his boat already? Hope everything is alright.

NKR, Someone on pasty cam posted on Friday (I think it was) that they saw George getting out of his car...so hopefully all is well with him.
Still waiting for thunderstorms out in western Indiana also, but the only thing coming in off Lake Michigan are sprinkles.
Don't forget folks to turn off the power to your computer at the powerstrip/outlet also during thunderstorms. Learned a valuable lesson one spring...at the expense of two computers.

Just noticed that May 15 fell on a Sunday in 1966, too.

Yooper thanks for the graphic. Which it would rain here like in your smiley pic...but the rain clouds just hang over us without dropping so much of a drop of rain. Supposed to be dismal the rest of the week, with colder temps.
