When Bob Gilreath is out and about in the Keweenaw, he always has his trusty camera with him and it shows. That's how he gets the unique shots like these reflections of the Portage Lift Bridge in the windows during his day. The first shot is of a window of the Lakeshore Building, on his way into work, with the second photo taken of the Power House Smart Zone Building window, on his lunch time walk. One of Bob's friends commented that he has "camera eyes" and I'd have to wholeheartedly agree. Thanks for letting us see the world (and the Bridge, today) through your eyes, Bob!

Interesting...is the bridge inside-out or outside-in?

Very interesting concept! The top one is very impressive.

The cool part about the first one is you can see a reflection in the window of the bridges reflecection in the water ;-)

I was surprised to notice the second shot at lunch on the same day as i took the first one.

lol it appears the letters are also reflecting (or is tht just repeating) in my last spelling of reflection above ;-)

lol....happens to the best of us, Bob. ;) What I think is so neat about the top pic is the white wall above the windows....the view looks like a 2-part painting inserted within a brick wall with nothing above.

Now now Bob; we know you're excited about your photos being featured today and all, but that's no excuse.... ;-)

I'm especially fond of the JACOBSVILLE sandstone.

Hello Pasty Central:
Just back from spending a long weekend in the Keweenaw. Such warm weather required visits to
McClain's Park, Brunet Park and several ice cream
shops. Stopped in Lake Linden for ice cream at a shop I didn't know existed------why there? Because they have Jilbert's ice cream and the kids really like it.
Noticed street paving completed in Hancock which made the driving nice.
Had the hunter's camera set on a trail near the Paavola Conservancy and caught a picture of a fawn.
Looked for bear but only found the clues----hair and broken branches on trees that had berries or apples. I forget which. Neighbors see those bear on a fairly regular basis.
