Laurie Bashaw has had several visitors in her backyard, that she's not willing to share her flowers and vegetables with. Two large bunnies and a couple cute little baby ones, all snuggled together. So far, they've stayed away from her garden, let's hope those "wascally wabbits" continue to keep their distance.

The last two photos, are a different breed of backyard visitor. Michele Mukavetz has been watching them progress from cute little babies, but is hoping this little family of skunks decides to relocate somewhere else now that they're getting bigger. Otherwise, Michele might just have the stinkiest yard in the neighborhood.

I remember when Laurie took that picture of the baby bunnies and e-mailed it to us. I would have loved to have come across something like that. Fun pictures this morning!!

Raining here...............again!!!!

Cute bunnies. Eh, what's up, doc?

All the babies are adorable...even the lil' stinkers!

Put some moth balls down....One of my previous homes had a skunk litter awhile back....and the landlord sprinkled around a box of the moth balls...and it made the skunks find a new home.

In the meantime..they are so fun to watch...they body wrestle...and just have fun....they are pretty close to blind...but boy...they can smell...in more ways than one!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Saturday, July 9, 2011 - 09:10 am:

they smell and are rabies carriers.

Adorable pictures! I've never seen a black rabbit...now, is it my eyes or are the ears more 'pointy' than the brown bunny? In the not so distant past we had backporch visitors like the pictured skunks.....also had a solid white one visit once.

I love the baby bunnies and my 'little stinkers' are gone. I kinda miss watching them stumble around the yard. We never bothered them and I knew mom would take them away.

Baby wildlife is always cute and adorable to watch, even little stinkers. (*_*)

speakin' of 'stinkers', one of the things that makes them cute is the way they walk....like they're walking on 'tippy-toe'.;)

We camped at a friends over the 4th and we would see baby skunks on the drive when we went back to the camp at night. One of them had as much white as it did black. From its ears to the tip of its tail the top half was white. It was very pretty but one could make error in not knowing what it was till it is too late. They did not even pay attention as we drove slowly by. Fun.

One of the little stinkers ventured out to our driveway and it was stumbling over itself to get back to where they were staying. It really did look like it was smaller than the rest of them, like it was the runt of the bunch. it was cute to watch it get away.

I wonder if that black rabbit is the offspring of someone's escaped pet rabbit. That one's going to stand out in the fall and winter when the birds of prey are hungry. Run, Rabbit, Run.

By Laurie B. (Ratherberiding) on Saturday, July 9, 2011 - 10:50 pm:

I believe the black rabbit is an escapee from down the road. This guy has rabbits in a pen. I saw two white ones the other day too, and they weren't snowshoes. I hope he doesn't let too many loose or we may have to have rabbit for supper!!
