Wrote this today after walking the beach, hope you enjoy it;

I toss and turn all through the night,
Worrying about my serious plight.
I look out the window and see the moon's face,
Wonderin' how long I have in this place.
My dog wakes me up 'cause he hears me cry,
He licks my face and says, "You won't die".
I break out in tears, I have so much to do,
I tell him "Joe, I will always love you.
Joe licks my face and gives me his heart,
Now I know we will never, ever part.

Dedicated to Joe and to the life I have left.
