Charlie, just put my bird in the oven and give me a call when it's ready for the feast, okay?

2007 is my favorite Pasty Cam picture of all time. I used it as a repeat desktop theme often since it first was published, at work and my home computer.

Thanks for the Holiday greetings. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I am most thankful for this link to my favorite place on Earth. I am going over to my friend Magarets house for dinner and bringing the green bean cassarole and Verdi Spumante'. (good times)

Those were some nice gas prices on the lower right (2008?)

Happy Thanksgiving from America's Heartland.

The house fire and closed gas station made me feel a little sad, but the rest of the pics are wonderful, and some historic.

Happy Turkey day all! Eat too much, laugh too much, hug too much, nap too much. Just have too much fun!! I'm glad to know all of you and even more glad that Pastyland exits. Thanks to all who are a part of it.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, November 26, 2009 - 12:16 pm:

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my pasty cam friends! You guys are some of the people I'm thankful for today.

I, too, love the 2007 picture, though I'm not a huge fan of snow. It's strange to see all of my Christmas decorations outside while it's been raining. There's something just not right about that.

That picture of the woman putting food in the oven looks so much like my Grandma Durocher. The resemblance is uncanny. I thought so the first time I saw it, and I still think so. Brings back wonderful memories and smells of when I was a kid. I have been thinking of long ago times this morning thanks to the nice e-mail I got from my pasty friend, Zube. Thanks, Zube.

Anyway, I'm so grateful to pasty for giving me something to look forward to every day when I wake up. I may not always get to it, but it's still something I always look forward to. And it's brought me so many great friends! Thank you for putting up with us every day and enriching our lives!!!!! Truly, that's from the bottom of my heart!

I don't know Cindy; I'm wondering what kind of bird your putting in that oven that Charlie had to censor it from our eyes??? ;-)

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Pastyland from SE Texas...

Thank you Deb. You and your family have a nice Thanksgiving. And everyone else also

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Thursday, November 26, 2009 - 07:13 pm:

That could not be my grandma M. because she cooked on a wood burning stove til the day she passed away.

Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving.

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Thursday, November 26, 2009 - 07:15 pm:

I took another look at that stove and could it be a wood burning stove?

By FRNash/PHX, AZ (Frnash) on Thursday, November 26, 2009 - 09:08 pm:

The original photo of the "Early Bird in the oven" stove can be found here: Past-E-Mail: Cam Notes - 2001: June: Jun 15-01
Click → Mama's kitchen, around 1941

It sure looks like a wood (well maybe coal, but I doubt it) stove to me!

P.S.: Scroll down to see where the lady in the picture is identified as Edith Moyle Fillbrook.
