I believe that gives me 2 (1+.5+.5) Birds to date. I was just wondering who has bagged the most Birds so far.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Friday, October 9, 2009 - 08:16 am:

Good morning!!! 2002 is AWESOME!! I hope we get to see a little of that this weekend. We're about to head out. Didn't get up early to go today. Too tired!

Have a great day!

Alex - Is that for the week, month or year? That would be an interesting fact to find out. I try not to get or take more then three "Early birds" a month. Leave some for the others.

Alex,
we need Kniton2 to do his or her thing!

By Kniton2 (Kniton2) on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 - 06:23 am:
Good Morning! In honor of the "Early Bird", I've tallied all of the gracious award winners for the first third of 2007. Here's the totals so far:
Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) 38, Smfwixom (Trollperson)24, Richard Johnson (Dick fl) 6, Marianne Y (Marianne) 4, Capt Paul (Eclogite)3, P Weed (P Weed) 3, Paul Oesterle (Paulwebbtroll)3, BJ Milford (BJ Milford) 2, Chuck K (chuckclarkston)2, Dennis Kemper (Denkem)2, Grace M Wetton (gmw)2, JH (Thumbgardener)2, Joe (jhurl)2, John Mich (Johnofmi)2, Michael Du Long (Mikie)2, Steve Haagen (radsrh)2

There are at least an equal number of posters with one Early Bird...to save bytes I thought I'd only post those with two awards so far this year.

There were 120 calendar days ending April 30.

More to come September 1!

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Friday, October 9, 2009 - 03:59 pm:

Wow Kniton2 (whoever you are)...good job! I had a feeling Deb S would be up there. I thought Capt. Paul would have more, but maybe he will sneak up from behind.

Cold and rainy and wet and I just finished cooking a pot of split pea soup. Yum Yum! ;O)

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Friday, October 9, 2009 - 05:29 pm:

Wonderful pics. I never tire of the Autumn ones (like the Autumn + Winter combined, especially), and I like the tree frog pic, 2.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Friday, October 9, 2009 - 05:48 pm:

Well, we made it. We hit quite a bit of rain from a little after Ashland, WI., through Bruce Crossing. The color as we got further north just got prettier and prettier. I don't really think it's peaked yet, though, so there'll still be a lot of color next weekend, I think! Great to be here, though. Now tomorrow we have the homecoming game here in Lake Linden. My mom's neighbor is the homecoming queen, so we're amongst royalty here, lol.

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Friday, October 9, 2009 - 07:21 pm:

Glad to hear you made it safely, Deb. We'll be up bright and early
at 4:00 A.M. but not really up until we're UP later tomorrow
afternoon.

By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Friday, October 9, 2009 - 07:39 pm:

Have fun at the game Debs. Our homecoming is next Friday here at Waverly High School in Lansing. I hope the weather doesn't get too cold; my senior daughter is in the color guard and those costumes are not very warm. I'll have to stay away from the game because every time I go it rains.

Deb: How many miles from your place to Lake Linden?

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 - 07:28 am:

It's really close to 400 miles, Russ. It's something like 387!!
