Time to go help my sweetie, (Bill) do some work on an elderly couples home around the corner. There is something about helping the elderly that I like. It just gives us a warm-fuzzy feeling on the inside. ;O)

The geese are squawking out there. That time of year. There is a swamp area by us and every year there is a nest in there and the father keeps watch while mom sits on the nest. One year he almost attacked us when we got to close taking a walk.

Spring has sprung and love is in the air and on the roofs.

For what it is worth, that Ford sign hung on what is now the Subway shop in Houghton. That is the front of the Douglass House in the background. Don't know who owned it when the photo was taken but it was owned by Mr. Sanegret (sp) in the late 30s.

Hey Richard, 'Thank You' for letting us know that the sign is now where the sub shop is in Houghton AND the Douglas House in the background. I was kinda busy trying to post for the early bird that I never noticed. ;O)

More fine pics. I wouldn't have wanted 2 b standing under that snow ledge when it came crashing down, though (lol).

The Ford sign kitty-corner from the Douglass House was Copper Motors wasn't it? Or was it something else back then? We lived across the street up the hill between Sheldon Ave. and Montezuma Ave. It was 1948.

Kenjamimi You came close! Sanegret's became Copper Motors but it wasn't kitty corner from the "Dog House", it was one block east. Across from the Post Office.
