Good Morning

From Wikipedia - Trifecta

In horse racing terminology, a trifecta is a parimutuel bet in which the bettor must predict which horses will finish first, second, and third in exact order. The word comes from the related betting term, "perfecta". A trifecta is known as a Tiercé in France and Hong Kong.

The first photo definitely made me hungry.
By the way, for anyone trying to lose weight, I have cut out all "sugar" from my diet and I have lost 25 pounds in about 6 months and still am losing weight without doing anything else. It's turning out to be a nice way to shed pounds and now I don’t even miss the sweet stuff.

Last night my wife and I were eating at a place in Howell, Michigan and at the booth behind us I heard a conversation between a customer and a waitress that included the names of Lake Linden and Hubbell(sp). When the waitress left I spoke to the gentleman and told him that I was a fan of Pasty.Com. He told me that everyone in the area would know him as "Sharon's husband"! He was starting home this morning. He also told me his name was Chris Little. Anyone know him?

Mary says: Well, I'll admit to knowing Sharon, but I'm not going to admit to knowing Chris! :-> Seriously though, yes, I know Sharon AND Chris Little. Nice to hear they're on their way back home.

Looking at the news of late, there is a new rule to live by: ADMIT YOUR MISTAKES BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE EXAGGERATES THEM.

THE POWER OF SUGGESTION! Looking at this first picture, I just ordered regular and breakfast pasties for my household and my In-laws,(Neil I also requested a DVD), Deb was extremely helpful on the phone as well,(she even gave me a firsthand weather report)! So I encourage all of you to call as well, and as UC sez- "one call gets it all, if they don't have it, you don't need it!" I'll be eattin pasties before the end of next week- can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary says: Hey Uncle Chuck, thanks for the HI to me, along with your order. Deb just passed it along to me a few minutes ago! Hi back to you! :->

Pasties, yummy, I can almost smell 'em! Got a laugh outta the "Free Snowmen" sign (again)....I'd forgotten about that. Someone has a great sense of humor to come up with that idea. :)

I am getting ready to make a new york style cheesecake. It takes 5 packs of cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream and along with all the other stuff that is not good for you, but, it sure in the heck tastes good. YUM! YUM! It takes 2-3 days in the fridge to set up to cut it. I only make them 2 or 3 times a year.

On MSNBC this morning, Houghton and winter carnival was mentioned. They showed some snow sculptures and said what the theme was for this year. ;O)

If you want a REAL cheese cake, use "bakers cheese" not cream cheese.........
