Whose shot of Eagle River appeared on the Pasty Cam on this day in 2000? Extra credit if you can name the publication of which he is editor.

Nice work, Trollperson.

Thank you, Charlie. That 2000 picture is so pretty! Sure wish I lived in Eagle River like you do!!

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 - 06:45 am:

The above bear picture is probably my all-time favorite pasty picture, or at least my most remembered one. If I come UP next weekend (in a week and a half), how do you all think the colors will be? How are they coming around Michigamme? I could possibly wait until the following weekend to come UP to Aura, north of L'anse (if my cottage pipes don't freeze before then!).

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 - 07:53 am:

It'll be 2 1/2 weeks til we return to the UP. Then, like Marsha, we'll
need to come to grips with the cottage pipes. I've only been away
from the UP for 2 1/2 weeks, but watching today's Decade of the
Pasty Cam made me realize that I am already homesick. So far,
from reliable sources in the Ishpeming area, I have heard that the
leaves should make it until the Columbus Day/Canadian
Thanksgiving long weekend. I sure hope so.

Good morning!

We'll be there that weekend also. But I'm thinking the colors won't be that great in the Copper Country. My 2006 pictures from that weekend are wonderful, but I'm afraid it'll be past peak this year. Oh well, at least we'll be there.

Kosk: I saw your Dad on the Military History channel the other day. Program about D Day and the 101st. Called him right away to alert him.

We are already getting some color here in the copper country, planning on taking it in this weekend a little since its turning so fast. The little guy and I are planning a hike/ picnic.

It looks like they have improved the copperharbor.org webcam. The color looks much better.

Today's winds are dropping leaves like crazy.

Based on what I'm seeing at 900 feet of elevation, I wouldn't wait too far into October to see peak colors.

Thanks for letting him know Rowdy.
