When I was a kid in the 40s we lived in a house that looked very much like that pictured, same color too! It was 316 Cooper street (why do I remember that?) in Hancock right at the top of the stone stairs!

Is that the most yummy looking piece of artwork. Can't guess which is best. Looking out Sharon's patio, it looks a little scary out there.

By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Friday, December 28, 2007 - 11:26 am:

That house looks so inviting. I'll bet they are inside making hot chocolate with marshmallows floating on top....Mmmmm....and maybe there are pasties in the oven.

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Friday, December 28, 2007 - 11:34 am:

I think I should photoshop a family photo in front of the big tree and use it for my Christmas card next year!

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Friday, December 28, 2007 - 03:50 pm:

Some nice gingerbread cookies, or pfeffernusse, or something sound like they would go great with that hot chocolate!

By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Friday, December 28, 2007 - 04:03 pm:

How 'bout some buttered Trenary Toast with cinnamon and sugar to dip in that hot chocolate? Yummm....

By Snowman (Snowman) on Friday, December 28, 2007 - 06:03 pm:

I think they're inside booking a flight to Florida.

By David Hiltunen (Davidcorrytontn) on Friday, December 28, 2007 - 10:39 pm:

Uniqued up on that Early Bird this morning, Marianne! It looked to be a close one between you and Bobby's girl. Great Grab, Congratulations.

The house pictured above, is as lovely as it was eight years ago when I first laid eyes upon it.Cindy said," buttered Trenary Toast with cinnamon and sugar to dip in that hot chocolate, Yummm."... I could have done without having to have read that. Holiday Market in Royal Oak, Mi. used to be walking distance from where I lived, where I would purchase the tasty Toast by the bag's full, and every once in awhile I would take some to my good friend you all know as Russ E. in Casco Twsp. in St.Clair, Co. where he in return would see I left out with some farm fresh egg's. I have phone number and e-mail address to order Trenary Toast. They are not fattening like all the other treats I ate over Christmas, right?

By Betty Paull Colborn,AZ (Betty) on Saturday, December 29, 2007 - 02:01 am:

David, we lived near Holiday Market too and I also remember getting the 'Toast' there too. Thanx for the memories....... Wonder if they still have it there. Will have to check next summer when we are back home.
