Three cammies posted notes within seconds of each other this morning. Maybe because of the delayed start this morning :o)

Good Morning, Everyone. We are supposed to have a windy here in mid-Michigan today. Have a good week, you all! :-)

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Monday, October 29, 2007 - 08:56 am:

I love all the orphan pumpkins from 8 years ago. Are there very many orphan ones this year? Somehow, I doubt it, since I read that it was a tough year for pumpkins, at least in Copper Country. Anyway, it is another great autumn picture! Thank you.

Morning. Still looking for yesterday's political rant. Where'd it go?

By Brooke (Lovethekeweenaw) on Monday, October 29, 2007 - 10:39 am:

Good Morning, I have yet to get the pumpkin this year with an angry 7 year old boy to prove it. He can gut it!

By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Monday, October 29, 2007 - 12:47 pm:

Brooke: Charley said several posts were lost. Perhaps I started it with a comment about Ben Franklin and Carl Levin. Last I looked, my comment was not deleted. I think the intention is for FUTURE political discussions (and other items deemed controversial) to be moved to separate pages.

By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Monday, October 29, 2007 - 12:50 pm:

Sorry, Brooke, I meant kj as to where the political rant went.

By Snowman (Snowman) on Monday, October 29, 2007 - 06:18 pm:

We have a squirrel that I had dubbed "Rocky". Every year I put a nice pumpkin display on the deck. Every year Rocky helps himself to the gourmet feast. I don't know why I do it knowing my display is going to turn into a war zone, but I do. Today I went outside and saw that Rocky had taken the biggest pumpkin out of the bunch and had "transported" it to the front yard. I walked over to the pumpkin, thinking I would retrieve it and put it back on the porch. I reached down and Rocky jumped out of the pumpkin and almost put me in cardiac arrest. His cheeks were puffed out and swollen with my Halloween display. I sighed and walked back into the house. Rocky is still out there gutting my biggest pumpkin and I know he's thinking he outsmarted me. Hah, what does he know! :D

I don't know if any of you know Ben and Sharon Lewis (Yooper Forums): http://yooper.webzman.com/viewtopic.php?t=1153

Ben and Sharon's infant daughter Ali was just recently diagnosed with lukemia. Right now, Ali is in the Ann Arbor hospital. Their son Bennie was just tested last week, to see if he can be a bone marrow donor for Ali: the results won't be in for two more weeks.

There is a long road ahead for Ben, Sharon, and Ali, as treatment will last three years...meaning Ben and Sharon are faced with moving from the UP, to Ann Arbor, for Ali's weekly treatments.

Currently, Ben and Sharon are going through a lot, with Ali's lukemia and being so far from home, family, and friends. Joanie and I are trying to cheer them up, so if you have a chance, could you please visit Ben's site and drop him and his family a word of encouragment?

Thank you,
Renee' and Joanie

Sur5er, how is little Ali? I tried to access Ben's page and it is not available. I will keep praying for her and please let us know if you know something.
