This spot is on my hubby's and my "to-do" list, if not for this year, then next year for sure. Kim Kaura was recently out on the tip of the Keweenaw, enjoying the view from Keystone Bay. I like the perspective of almost lying on the ground to take these two photos, although it must have been a bit uncomfortable for Kim with all those rocks. At least for the second shot, the rocks were farther and fewer between! For a better idea of the area featured today, take a look back in the Pasty Cam Archives on August 16, 2006

Good morning from Mishawaka, IN.

I am adding this spot to my "to see list".

Morning, wish I were there.

It's on our to do list too. One of these years in between blinking and breathing when we're UP there. The time just goes so fast because there's so much to do. After seeing David's photos yesterday, the Houghton side of the breakwater is on my to do list too.

I've been out to Keystone many times and it's always a fun little trip. Lots of neat rocks out there to collect, and the views are spectacular.

I just love all those rocks, took more pictures of some this weekend.

Actually the rocks are exposed because Lake Superior is so low. The rocks are more of a warning sign than a sign of beauty.

Keystone- one of our favorite places to go, by boat and 4-wheelin.

Kim, those are gorgeous pictures, with an awesome perspective on the rocks!

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 - 12:33 pm:

Those rocks at Keystone would be exposed even if Lake Superior was at its high stand.

That should be a quick little trip for you Uncle Chuck by boat; you can probably almost see Keystone from your place, eh??

My favorite summer camping spot:)

By Uncle Chuck @ Little Betsy (Unclechuck) on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 - 04:22 pm:

Capt., We actually launch from Lac La Belle because of the lake's furry, we cannot dock a boat at LB. We were out there last year during the fire, and Neil flew over us. Then I also almost drown in the beaver •••• at Keystone when Marty said we could make it across in his 4x4 in November, now we run a series of check's when Marty sez, "we can make it, it's got a good bottom"- but I wouldn't trade it for anything!!
Keystone is a treasure!
