I love "before and after" pictures like this. You may recall back in 2000 Tom Reisner took a shot of his two favorite ladies playing among the sweet peas near Mason, and he shared it with the Pasty Cam. Today we see the updated version, and Debbie is still picking flowers for her mom Jane. I ran into the Reisner's at the Hut and found there are now 4, with the addition of their son Joshua.

It has been neat to see so many friends this summer at the Hut, where I had a chance to chat with Tom and Jane and the kids. Little by little the Hut is being restored to its former self, with the wishing wells being the latest to come back on line in the Keweenaw Room. (I wish we could get the duck pond to hold water again, too :o)

Thanks to all the friends of this website who have provided so many enjoyable U.P. scenes over the years. We hope your summer travels in this lovely peninsula are safe ones.

I love the colors in the first picture. Though both pictures are pretty.

Ate a pasty at the Hut on July 3 and got to meet Charlie at last. (He had difficulty making change in the register so we just donated the last couple of bucks to the website and got a little mileage out of that with Charlie) Great renovations though so order pasties and stop by and eat one right out of the oven. They were fantastic........

That first picture is a WOW! You could publish a people version of the pasty.com calendar with people instead of scenery, and include that photo.

I agree with Therese. I love the first picture! The colors are just spectacular and the way they look like they don't know anybody's watching is great.

I wanted to go to the Hut over the weekend, but I foolishly assumed I could rent a car from the Hancock airport with no reservation. Oops! So, after taking a cab to Copper Harbor (my final and only destination), I had a pasty at the Tamarack Inn, which I believe uses Pasties supplied by Pasty Central. It was good, whoever made it. I am waiting for the weather to cool so I can order some by mail order again. It was 102 degrees down here south of the Manson-Nixon line today, too hot for pasties sitting in a UPS box on the front porch.

Yes, Tim, the pasties served at Tamarack Inn in Copper Harbor are Pasty Central pasties. Another fine restaurant we supply is the Hilltop in L'Anse.
