Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 - 05:51 am:

These peaceful paths were sent to us by Aladino Mandoli, taken on the trail to Marquette Mountain, accessed on the south side of the city of Marquette, off US 41. Like so many mornings on the Pasty Cam, thanks for joining us on this mini-virtual tour.

Hope you can join us in person on Saturday, June 30th for Pasty Fest in Agassiz Park in Calumet. Along with a parade, games, and music, pasty makers from all around the region will be there to serve up a delicious lunch and square off in the pasty baking competion.

Do you mean Mount Marquette or Marquette Mountain? Mount Marquette has its access road by the river near the sewage treatment plant and is closer to lake superior. Marquette Mountain is the ski hill area. Either way, both are great!

Those photos are absolutely spectacular. They just draw you right in. The first one almost looks like a painting.

Nice pictures! I especially like the second one, with the sunlight coming through the trees into a "clearing". I love to visit areas like that, with the right lighting, etc!

I love the photos today. I think maybe this is what the Garden of Paradise was like.

If it is Mount Marquette. Which it looks like to me. I beleive this is what used to be called Mount Mesnard.

Mary says: I must be having trouble getting back into the swing of things, since I goofed up on the location of Monday's Silver Mountain and now today I typed "Marquette Mountain", when I meant "Mount Marquette". I DID get the link I provided for more information, correct though! I'll try harder from here on out! :->

What beautiful pictures! Each of them has such a calming effect! Each seems to beckon you to "Come on in, spend some time here, and unwind."
