The below zero temps and snow today remind me of the U.P. Winter here in Charlevoix is never as nice as winter in Ironwood.

By Margaret, Amarillo TX on Monday, December 20, 2004 - 10:45 am:

Sharon, it looks a little blustery out there today. It's 53° and may get to 25° when I get on the plane in the morning. Hope everyone has a great Christmas. Good luck to the teams and hope all is well until I check in in a week or so.

For those of you missing snow here's a site to make your own snowflakes..... Follow directions after the screen is loaded (click on "make your own snowflake") . You can also submit your "flake" and a message... After you submit your snowflake, watch the blue screen, it will come up and be identified as yours....

Be sure and click(and hold) on the "falling snow" to see the snowflakes and messages submitted by others.....

I hope Ernie from WA reads this as I am saying "hi" back to him. "Yooper" you are great. Love all of the little icons or whatever they are. Some of us grew up on the other side of the century mark.
Everyone, wish Nancy from Burchville a happy birthday...the day after Christmas! This one ends in a zero;-)
Cold and no snow, don't cha just hate dat! here in the mid-mid-west.
Speaking of mid-west as in Mid-West Living, a good article on John Dee (my new relative he, he)
Really makes me miss the homeland.
Well, back to the Monday laundry.
Oh, one of da sistahs is working at Victoria's Kitchen (no, not secret!) so stop in and get some food and say hi to her.
Looks like you need to keep the lights on up there, being so overcast. We MIGHT actually get an inch today/night.
Oh, by the way Ernie: the carpet is in, the handrail is....well, maybe in by the end of next week. Stairs look good, treds all stained and poly'd (I know that is not a word)and will be up soon. All takes time.

Marge,
Thanks for the snowflake site. Great fun!

By Karen... on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 - 12:03 am:

Fourteen degrees......sure hope you all put your cuddle duds on. Going to be a little chilly here in Florida tonight. Had to cover the plants and turn the furnace on. Yep, we did. I hope you are going to share some Christmas photos for those of us whom don't have snow. Where are the Christmas trees in the Village Square?

Hello to Downstate Don. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.......
