As promised yesterday, we have added an area above with links of on-going discussions, topics of interest to Camwatchers. Also each day we will revisit a sight of interest in year's past on the Pasty Cam.

Don't forget, tonight at 7pm the Houghton Gremlin Girl's Basketball team hopes to advance toward the state championship by out-scoring Iron Mountain. The game will be broadcast live by WMPL AM-920, and streamed on the WWW at Pasty.NET.

Good Morning UC from LB and Niece Sarah and family, Hope we all have a wonderful Holiday. I sure wish we were in the great UP for Thanksgiving. Maybe we should think about it for next year. Just think a turkey in the oven and a fire in the fireplace watching the majestic Lake Superior.

Rachel, Give baby Lyle a big hug for me. I miss you all!!

Hey UP--somebody messed up and sent your snow down here! Started about 2:00 this morning--already have 7". We normally don't get snow for at least another month and then only 2-3" at a time with only about 20" all winter. It's a beautiful heavy thick snow but we're sure not ready for this. Really bad for all the holiday travelers, too, so if anyone's holiday travels take them through KC or St. Louis today, prepare for airport delays!

Editors: Blast from the past is fantastic. How wonderful that you chose the Ambassador for the first. Love that place.

Lori, That's excellent: snaining. Is supposed to turn to snow here though. Predicted 3 to 5. Ah, that will be lovely for Thanksgiving!

Going back to yesterday's wood pile, some tourists were going through town and saw an Indian splitting and piling his firewood. They asked him if it was going to be a hard winter. He said it was going to be very cold this year. One of the tourists said, "Isn't it amazing how you JUST KNOW things like that? Are you able to read the 'wooly-bears' or do just feel it in your bones?" The Indian said, "I went over and saw the Finlander's wood pile."

By Lori... commerce twp on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 - 08:54 pm:

So, hey all you yoopers... us yooper yoostabe's and us yooper wannabe's and us yooper gonna be's got snowed on today. I bet you're glad it's us and not you, eh? We had enough here in Commerce Twp for my dog and me to leave tracks on the trails when we ran this afternoon and I LOVED it! So did Kodi Sue! The flakes were wet, fresh, cold and invigorating. I saw deer tracks on my 2nd time around the trails. (Next to golf manor.)
You just might see me some day, Marija, I know you live nearby. I wear a yellow jacket and I have a big dog. Ya, the rain turned to 'snain' and then turned to snow after all.
