This snow-covered scene of US-41 would be a welcome site for winter sports lovers this year. 48 degrees predicted for today, just five days before Christmas. El Nino go away! Bring home Heikki Lunta.

By Robert - CO (Halork) on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 - 08:24 am:

The blizzard warning is out... it's gonna be a nasty day here in Denver.

By Gonna be a Yooper (Joanie) on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 - 08:44 am:

Another snowless good morning to all!!! We might get snow this weekend, yipeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 - 08:46 am:

I'm not missing the snow at all. Had enough while growing up at the end of the East Branch Road in Mass City, thank you. Besides, winter down here in Lansing is nothing like winter in the UP. Winter in the UP is beautiful and clean and fresh and peaceful.

By Bob Gilreath (Bobg) on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 - 10:01 am:

We're hurting up here. Big Ski race coming up
and no snow. Temps today going to 48 degrees.

They have moved some snow guns from Ripley to the trails to help, but we're gonna need some colder
weather to help.

That's like the sign on the wall at a restaurant that says "Braille Menu Available." Duh!!

By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 - 02:53 pm:

Hey, Patsy Cam Buddies, I'm outta here until next Wednesday. I hope Santa is good to each and every one of you and especially to me. ;-) Talk to you next week!! Paiva! Houska Joulua!! (My Finnish spelling is not as good as my English.)

By Danbury (Danbury) on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 - 03:33 pm:

Mehollop, if you don't mind me asking, what is it exactly you're doing? Studying Forestry and Environmental Sciences, I'm curious. To be nosing further, you wouldn't accidentally happen to know about recent studies on the amount of time soil deformation beneath old tracks/trails remain visible/measurable?
As to the last question, anybody else?

By Robert - CO (Halork) on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 - 06:31 pm:

Denver is completely shut down due to the blizzard. And my pasty order is stuck at the central FedEx facility. :-( I'm just happy I made it home from work with no problems.

I dunno, I just found it posted on one of the johndee.com forums, and it seemed so fitting for the way things were going here today!

Danielle-- I think you're a good kid not a bad kid. Might have to
change your "handle."
