The Pasty Cam featured an above-ground tank at the Phoenix Store eight years ago. Why? You can read all about it.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at Pasty Central and Pasty.NET.

By Gonna be a Yooper (Joanie) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 - 10:10 am:

I ate too much turkey,
I ate too much corn,
I ate too much pudding and pie,
I'm stuffed up with muffins
and much too much stuffin',
I'm probably going to die.
I piled up my plate
and I ate and I ate,
but I wish I had known when to stop,
for I'm so crammed with yams,
sauces, gravies, and jams
that my buttons are starting to pop.
I'm full of tomatoes
and french fried potatoes,
my stomach is swollen and sore,
but there's still some dessert,
so I guess it won't hurt
if I eat just a little bit more.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

Joanie----
Great little poem. Thanks for putting a smile on my face and those of the families when I show them the printout from Whats up. Hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving. A BIG THANK YOU to all those service men and women who can't be home with us on this day!!!!!

By Ms. Katie (Mskatie) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 - 10:39 am:

Joanie, another classic ditty! Like Deb asked where do you get all these fun poems!? Bet you are a "clipper" like me, newspaper articles, poems and prayers? I feel sorry for my kids when the time comes and they will have to clean out all my junk I've saved :)Also save pictures for someday paintings.

By JH (Thumbgardener) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 - 10:48 am:

Thanks for the smiles, Yooper.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 - 03:10 pm:

Very cool, Yooper!

Good thing we bragged about the Lions in the first few minutes cuz we sure haven't had anything to brag about since. Geez, they can't even win on Thanksgiving any more. Sad!!!

By Charles In Esky (Charlesinesky) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 - 03:21 pm:

Anymore? (!!!) We're talking the Lions here. There's a reason
why the Lions like to recall their win over the Packers in 1962.
That is perhaps the last time the Lions beat a really good team
on Turkey Day.

By Paul Oesterle (Paulwebbtroll) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 - 08:07 pm:

Charles in Esky, Deb S., I have a 32 year old grandson who is(was)a great Lion fan, but he can't remember a winning Lion team. I tell him about the 50's Lions and he doesn't know if he should believe me or not. Turkey Day is for turkey football teams I guess. It sure is sad. Detroit deserves something better! If the Lions were ever to put together a winning team, the fans would go nuts.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 - 08:17 pm:

Wasn't it in '91 that they went to the NFC championship game against Washington? I believe they were 12-4 that year, so how did they build on that success? By firing their offensive coordinator. Smart hey?
Mr. Deb
