Eight years ago, it was a rainy day in the Copper Country. Today the Weather Service calls for 65 and sun, with 70s tomorrow.

More great news from the land of pasties. Pasty Central has re-started pasty production in the new pasty kitchen in Kearsarge. You can place your order on the web. The next available shipping date is October 16.

The Hut Inn will open on Monday (October 9), also in Kearsarge. Chef Mike Porter has included old favorites on the menu, as well as some new entrees. You'll enjoy the same friendly atmosphere for which The Hut Inn is famous. The Hut will serve from 11 am - 9 pm seven days a week.

We will be in Houghton this weekend. (I cannot believe we are missing the Hut by one day!) Is there anywhere to pick up Pasty Cam pasties at a local store?

At this point, Pasty Central's pasties are only available via Internet. In just a short time, Pasty Central Express, the building behind The Hut, will have a drive-through window to pick up hot pasties.

What a great night for the Tigers. I was at the game with my brother-in-law, Rich Dropping, and saw a great pitching performance by Kenny Rogers, beating the Yanks 6-0. With Yankee fans in front and behind us, it couldn't have been any sweeter! It looks like it might be the year of the Tiger!
