Remembering my beloved mother, Marjorie Seymour, who passed away 14 January 1997. She and her husband Terence (who passed in November 1996) raised us three kids in the finest town in the world, Marquette, MI.
"Hellow Sweetie!"
"What a meaner!"
"There's lovely!"
"They're where you LEFT them. They didn't just WALK away now, did they?"
A woman of dignity, grace, gentleness and character. I will miss her always.

Yesterday I went to Washington DC. I was at one of the Memorials there in front of Reflections. I looked up the stairs and from a distance a guy walked by. He had that certain lean to his walk and move to his step. His shirt was not tucked in and his hair style looked strikingly familiar. He passed by and was slipping away into the crowd. I wanted to call out to him because just for a second I got stuck in another time, when Dennis Flanagan would have looked back with a smile.
