Signs have been a regular occurrence throughout the past 19 years here on the Pasty Cam. Many that advertise a business establishment, like the first photo from 2000, Olkie's Bar in Ironwood. This shot not only advertises the business, but also that the majority of the folks that frequent the establishment are Packer backers.

Then in 2005, we featured a "Shoebox Memory" sent in by Betty Catalano, showing the giant milk bottle that was a landmark for the Asselin Dairy that was located in the Iron Mountain area. The bottle no longer stands there, having been torn down in the 70's, but in its day was quite the roadside attraction here Up North.

Today's video is a bit longer than usual and starts in Wisconsin, but quickly crosses the border to Michigan and makes a number of stops around the U.P. at various roadside attractions. Fun road trip without leaving the comforts of home

In regards to Matt's Road Trip the world's largest
soup kettle, there is a small town here in eastern
Iowa, Brandon, Ia. has the world's largest iron
skillet. Paul Bunyan left his kitchen utensils
scattered about.

I remember, as a kid, that stove on Jefferson, before the entrance to Belle Isle, down aways from Uniroyal Tire.
We went out to the fairgrounds, in Detroit, before we moved up here, and the security guard was very nice and allowed us to go in and take some pictures of it. Then I read it had burned to just the metal frame...:O(
